How is the final performance assessment compiled?
Depending on the internal regulations or specific orders, a period is assigned for activities during which the manager’s performance is assessed. They can be held either once a month or once a year - at the discretion of the current management.
These events evaluate:
- quality of work performed
- the nature of the result achieved during the performance of duties and its compliance with the conditions that were specified in the contract
degree of adherence to schedules: timely completion of all standard work tasks, as well as individual orders from the manager, is assessed
- quality of documentation and availability of all required reports
- final results of the inventory
- productivity: the total amount of work completed in accordance with the required values - if these are exceeded, bonus payments are often due
In addition, management may also order an assessment of the general performance of the manager and his behavior in the team. In some cases, an anonymous survey of employees can be conducted to obtain a reliable opinion about the person holding the position.
The job of a warehouse manager is a complex one. It includes not only the implementation of basic management tasks that are characteristic of this position, but also the organization of work within the team, the prevention of conflicts, as well as training of new employees. If there are special specifics of the company, it is also highly valued if the candidate for the position is able to understand regulatory documents, contracts and technologies that allow optimizing the operation of the entire enterprise.
