Job responsibilities and areas of interest of engineering and technical workers

Engineering staff

Working in large companies, you can come across the phrase “ Engineering and Technical Personnel ”. The abbreviation ITR stands for engineering and technical worker. The duty of an engineer and technical worker is to manage production processes. To qualify an employee for this category, he must have highly qualified technical and engineering knowledge.

Who belongs to the engineering and technical personnel (transcript)?

Engineering and technical personnel include the following employees:

  1. Management personnel . This category includes employees involved in enterprise management, heads of services and structural divisions.
  2. Specialists. EKS (Unified Qualification Directory of Positions of Managers, Specialists and Other Employees) identifies:
  • Specialists engaged in agricultural, fishing, logging work;
  • Specialists working in engineering, technical and economic fields;
  • Public education staff;
  • Workers of culture, art and science;
  • Medical employees;
  • Legal staff. technical workers.

Location and work schedule

The storekeeper's place of work is a warehouse at an enterprise, in production, in places where goods are stored (shops, warehouses, logistics companies). When hiring an employee for the position of “storekeeper” in a warehouse, the amount of payment and work schedule are negotiated individually and depend on the specifics of the enterprise’s activities. Depending on the volume of workload, a storekeeper’s employment varies from half the rate to working 24 hours a day. In some areas, the profession of a storekeeper may be of a traveling nature.

What are the responsibilities of engineering and technical personnel?

Young specialists think that having a technical specialty is not prestigious: hard work in industry is scary, low wages and lack of career growth are scary. Most young people choose economics and legal fields when entering universities. Of course, the responsibilities of technical professions differ from creative ones, but engineering personnel are always in demand.

Engineering and technical personnel can perform the following work:

  • Create and adjust new technological processes;
  • Organize work and monitor the consistent implementation of work;
  • Conduct quality control of output production;
  • Control official documentation;
  • Debug technological equipment: installation, repair;
  • Optimize existing technological processes.

Having considered the functional responsibilities, it can be understood that the category of employees must know the work of production and manufactured products, have an understanding of the market, and know the work of narrow engineering and technological specialties.

How to subscribe to an RSS feed

Now let's talk about how to subscribe to RSS. The easiest way is to find an RSS subscription icon on a website or blog. And then everything is according to the instructions.

The second is to receive RSS to your email address. Find the field for entering E-mail. Next, at the mail itself, we open the letter from the site we want to subscribe to and follow the activation link. That's all.

The third method is similar to the first, but still slightly different. On some sites, this subscription is not visible, so you should look at the browser toolbar if you do not want to spend a lot of time searching for it.

The fourth method allows you to receive RSS updates, even if they are hidden on the site. To do this, you need to add a prefix to the main link in the address bar of your browser. It can be of three types: “feed”, “/rss.xml” or “/?feed=rss”. If this method does not work for you, it means that the site’s RSS feed is disabled.

Now you know what RSS is. This is a technology for both users and webmasters. It saves time, nerves and traffic of the audience, and also increases the popularity of the site and its link mass.

Labor standards for engineering and technical personnel

The goal of engineering and technical personnel is to improve productivity and reduce costs when performing production processes. Work related to management can only be organized with reliable information about the length of time and the number of employees required to carry out the work.

It is difficult to standardize the work of engineering and technical personnel, since the work cannot actually be measured. For example, it is difficult to evaluate the work of an engineer, since he does not operate the machine, but manages the process.

Therefore, the main goal of the standardization process is to determine the labor costs in implementing the work and the required number of employees to complete the work. Labor inputs are necessary to determine the scope and level of complexity of the work, and then delegate the task to an appropriately qualified employee. Then wages will correspond to the investments made: the number of employees and the degree of their qualifications.

2.3 Compliance with the work of the RSS of the unit’s section to identify the causes of defects and take measures to prevent them

Manufacturing defects are products that do not meet all established requirements and the transfer of which to the consumer is not allowed due to the presence of defects.

A distinction is made between a correctable manufacturing defect and a final manufacturing defect. Correctable products include products that are technically possible and economically feasible to correct in the conditions of the manufacturing enterprise; final - products with defects, the elimination of which is technically impossible or economically unprofitable. Such products are subject to disposal as production waste, or are sold by the manufacturer at a price significantly lower than the same product without defects (discounted goods).

Responsibilities for identifying manufacturing defects, as a rule, lie with the technical control department (QCD). Most often, the passage of a finished product through quality control inspection is marked with a special stamp in the technical passport of the product or on the product body.

The following measures are of particular importance for preventing manufacturing defects:

· strict adherence to product production technology;

· proper organization of work;

· Regular advanced training courses for company employees.

Development of the engineering profession in Russia

Russia has always been famous for its craftsmen, who were spoken of as people with golden hands. Thanks to its “lefties,” even under Ivan the Terrible, the Russian army had better artillery and strong fortifications.

Peter I paid great attention to the development of the engineering field in Russia. Under him, the best representatives of the young nobility were selected and sent to study abroad. And later they began to open their own educational institutions, where they trained engineers.

In the 16th century, Russian specialists in weapons and fortification construction in the army were also called rozmysly. But in 1703, Feofan Prokopovich first used the term “engineer”. And under Peter I, this name began to be used on an ongoing basis.

The role of engineering workers in the development of modern civilization

IT workers are the driving force of humanity. Thanks to their appearance, industry and technology began to develop, work became less labor-intensive and more efficient. Working conditions have also improved.

As a consequence of engineering creativity, a technical civilization was created on the planet. And today we are not surprised at all the innovations that, thanks to engineering workers, the natural sciences have accumulated. They boldly invade the unknown and begin to study it. And as a result, new directions are emerging, for example, nanotechnology and much more, which changes people's lives for the better.

What is PTO?

The abbreviation PTO stands for production and technical department . This is an independent structural unit, directly subordinate to the Deputy General Director for Production Activities.

The creation, reorganization and liquidation of VET occurs through orders of the general director. A person with a higher technical education, or at the discretion of the manager, is appointed to the post of manager, head of VET, and his professional specialization must correspond to the direction of the company’s work. Also, the official must have at least five years of experience in positions (or at the discretion of the company) involving the performance of engineering and technical duties.

Practice shows that a competent foreman or foreman can become a technical equipment engineer (if he is nominated by the head of the industrial technical department or director), since it is these people who have a complete understanding of what is happening directly at the construction site (route).

The purpose, goals, rights and responsibilities of the PTO are deciphered in the relevant Regulations on the department. The work of the unit itself is based on the following documents:

  • Regulations on the production and technical department;
  • Company Charter;
  • Regulatory documentation regulating the construction industry in the Russian Federation;
  • Methodological materials that should decipher the requirements for production planning and operational management of the enterprise;
  • Decrees and resolutions of company directors.

VET is considered an essential structural element of companies operating not only in the construction industry, but also in the energy and industrial sectors. In addition, it is formed in installation companies, and also exists in housing and communal services organizations.
