The essence of the payment program

The state encourages long-living Russian couples in the form of cash benefits. They are assigned to spouses after a certain period of living together in an officially registered marriage. Subsidies are provided for:

• 50 years;
• 55 years;
• 60 years;
• 65 years old;
• 70 years old.

At the federal level, incentive measures are not established. The regional government independently decides on the allocation of the monetary amount. But the authorities also have the right to refuse to provide financial assistance to celebrants of their life together.

In Moscow and the Leningrad region, spouses are paid a large sum one-time, and they can also have a solemn honoring ceremony organized.

In different regions of the Russian Federation, the solemn event is held differently. This could be an official tea party in the local administration; in other localities, spouses are presented with certificates, medals and gifts. Couples can apply for benefits if certain conditions are met:

Where is the payment made?

Spouses who have lived together for 50 years or more can apply for one-time payments to the social service at their place of residence. Some couples make a mistake and go to the Pension Fund, since by the 50th anniversary of marriage they already become pensioners. But the Pension Fund does not deal with such issues and does not assign payments.

If, according to local legislation, the authorities allocate funds for payments for anniversaries of marriage and the married couple meets the requirements, the social service may still refuse the money. This can happen for several reasons:

1. When registering, the couple did not collect all the documents listed in the list.
2. The information in the submitted certificates is obviously false or erroneous.
3. The deadline for accepting applications for payments has expired.

In some regions, one of the spouses is provided with a pension supplement. Conditions for receiving it:

• marital experience of 30 years;
• retired spouses do not work;
• The pension of one spouse is less than that of the other.

The required difference in the pensions of spouses to receive the bonus is 2.5 thousand rubles.

To receive a pension supplement for the 30th anniversary of marriage, you need:

1. Provide information that both pensioners have completed their working career.
2. Provide documents confirming the fact of cohabitation.
3. Bring identification cards for each spouse celebrating the anniversary.
4. Contact the Pension Fund with an application and a prepared list of documents.

Registration process

To receive benefits for 50, 60 and 70 years of marriage, you will need:
