Home / Judicial defense / What does a social card for a pensioner in the Moscow region provide?

  • work under the same conditions as citizens who have not reached retirement age;
  • pay personal income tax on wages on a general basis.
  • They are not entitled to compensation for travel to the place of treatment and rest.

Citizens who live alone are a separate category. If their income is less than the subsistence level, then state social support in monetary terms is provided for them. Its monthly amount ranges from 600 to 1000 rubles. Also, the total amount of money received by a citizen during the year should not exceed 6,000 rubles. The exception is for WWII veterans living alone; for them, 7,000 rubles. in year.

Subsidies and benefits for single pensioners

You can apply for a pensioner’s social card in the Moscow region at the public services center or at the territorial division of the Ministry of Social Protection. This can also be done on a special portal.

So, having signed up for SCM, a pensioner in the capital and the Moscow region can count on a whole range of preferential services, starting with interest-free payment for housing and communal services and ending with free travel on surface and underground modes of transport.

  • Since only Russian citizens have the right to receive this card, the original passport of the Russian pensioner is submitted to the MFC; You can make a photocopy of the required pages directly at the center’s branch.
  • The second most important document for a citizen, certifying his preferential privileges, is a pension certificate (similar to a passport, you need to bring the original).
  • Compulsory health insurance policy.
  • Insurance certificate (SNILS).
  • A photo of a pensioner measuring 3 by 4 – it can be taken directly in some MFCs. If the center does not provide such a service, then take a photo in advance.

According to the person's place of work

The first step if a pensioner’s social card is lost is to block the card. To do this, you need to immediately call the bank that issued the card and report it missing. This is especially true if there are sums of money on a Muscovite’s card.

SKMO holders have the right to free travel on all types of public ground urban passenger transport in the Moscow region (except for taxis, minibuses) and on suburban railway transport.

In order to submit an application for the issuance of a social card for a resident of the Moscow region through the public services portal, you must register in the system. Once registered, you can begin your application. Enter the section “Issuance, replacement and termination in accordance with the established procedure of social cards for residents of the Moscow region” and fill out the application.

The project “Social card of a resident of the Moscow region” was launched in 2005. However, many citizens who are entitled to social benefits and allowances still do not have sufficient information about the card. What is SKMO, for whom is it intended and what advantages does it provide, read in the material of the mosreg.ru portal.

  1. Original passport. The reason is that a pensioner’s social card can only be obtained if the main condition is met - to be a citizen of the Russian Federation. Important! If necessary, you can make photocopies of the document.
  2. Pensioner's ID. An equally important document with which you can confirm the possibility of receiving benefits. To issue a card, you need to bring it only in the original - a photocopy will most likely not be accepted.
  3. Compulsory health insurance policy and insurance certificate (SNILS). With these two documents, the chance of receiving a card will be increased.
  4. Photos. Their size should be the same - 3 by 4. They can be done in photo centers, as well as in a number of MFCs, since not all of them provide such a service.

Directions

Each region independently sets discounts for students on public transport; in some cities there may be no transport benefits at all. If you do not live in Moscow (because we will talk about the capital's benefits below), ask about discounts at your educational institution.

City transport in Moscow

The Moscow metro and ground transport offer benefits for students - but only for those who study full-time at accredited educational institutions in Moscow. To get a discount, you need to apply for a social “Muscovite Card” on the Mos.ru portal or in.

Advice. Using the “Muscovite Card” you can get discounts at 7.5 thousand stores and establishments. It is convenient to track them on the map on the Mos.ru website. Near the cash registers at these establishments there are usually stickers with information about student card discounts, but just in case, you can check the availability of preferential prices - even if there are no stickers.

A monthly unlimited subscription for travel on the metro, monorail, MCC and MCD (Central zone) for students costs 405 ₽. For unlimited travel on ground transport, you need to pay an additional 265 ₽ (for comparison: unlimited travel on the metro and buses with a Troika card without benefits costs 2,170 ₽ per month).

Suburban transport in Moscow

Students can get a 50% discount on train travel. The benefit is valid from September 1 to June 15. To do this, you need to present your student card at the ticket office when paying for travel.

Aircraft

The state provides discounts on flights for Russians under 23 years of age. But this program has limitations: the subsidy is provided mainly for “unpopular” routes for residents of the Far East, North-West, Siberia and Crimea - for example, Anadyr - Moscow, Blagoveshchensk - Vladivostok, Magadan - Krasnodar. A list of destinations, airlines and maximum prices for discounted tickets is available on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

You can issue a subsidized ticket on the website or at the call center of the airline that provides discounted flights. The number of discount tickets on each flight is limited.
