Types of payments

There are several types of payments for students:

Academic. It is paid to students who study “excellently” and do not have C grades. Basically, the privilege applies to full-time students, but some universities also allow payment to part-time students.
Advanced academic . Paid to students who have special achievements, i.e. actively participate in the life of the university, taking prizes in scientific and sports competitions.
Social . Available to students with special categories, i.e. children with disabilities, low-income people, orphanages and those who lost one of their parents during hostilities.
Increased social. Granted to students with special status who have excellent grades in subjects and participate in the social life of the university.
Named. This category includes gubernatorial and presidential. Paid for special achievements at the state or regional level.

Prerequisites for creating a payment

The reason for creating the decree was the low demand for admission to regional universities. Young promising students preferred to go to the capital or abroad to get an education. In addition, statistics have shown that in recent years, students' average scores have dropped significantly as interest in acquiring knowledge has dropped sharply.

The Governor's scholarship is a way of financial incentives for outstanding young people from among high school students, applicants and young people successfully studying at universities at the local government level. There are no legal provisions obliging municipal authorities to introduce this incentive method.

Who is entitled to a scholarship from the governor?

Despite the fact that the payment is regulated at the regional level, the conditions for receiving it are almost the same.

The student must study full-time on a budget basis (in some cases, incentives are also provided for contract employees). Tests and exams must be passed with a grade of at least 4, but the majority of subjects (at least 75%) must be passed with a grade of 5. An applicant for payments must have insignia, i.e. medals and certificates for winning competitions and competitions.

Lists of distinguished students are submitted by scientific supervisors, who submit them for petition to the rector of the university. He submits documents to higher authorities.

Encouragement for school students

The governor's scholarship is paid to schoolchildren if they have achieved high academic performance, as well as received prizes in olympiads and competitions dedicated to scientific and sports activities. The minimum age to participate in the program is 14 years. There are exceptions, but they are considered on an individual basis.

Participation in the program is provided for applicants who graduated from school with honors and passed the Unified State Exam without failing grades. In this case, the bonus is paid to former schoolchildren, starting from the first year of university.

Algorithm for receiving a scholarship

Algorithm for receiving a scholarship

Required documents

To receive financial support from the head of the region, you should collect the following documents:

an official statement of desire to provide a scholarship from the rector of the educational institution;
decision of the commission with the signature of the chairman and a wet seal;
a document confirming the position of the higher education institution;
document confirming the identity of the applicant;
characteristic;
a document confirming the student’s academic performance;
photocopies of awards for achievements received;
Bank account number.

If the applicant has a special status, for example, has disabilities or is a former ward from an orphanage, supporting documents must be provided.

Terms of consideration

The candidacy is considered within 30 working days. After which a decree is issued on the assignment of payments. The result of the review is transmitted to the rector of the educational institution, who provides the list to students.

When is the payment made?

Incentives for students for excellent studies are paid according to the order of the governor. The scholarship can be awarded either one-time or monthly. But in any case, the incentive is issued at the beginning of the next semester after submitting the application. The exception is one-time payments that are associated with victories in competitions.

Features of receipt and amount of payments in some regions

Receiving a governor's scholarship is a special reward for academic performance. But at the state level the payment is not provided and there is no unified system for receiving it. Regional incentives are the responsibility of only local authorities, who determine the number of quota places and the amount of the bonus based on their budget. Not all areas provide this payment.

Permian

In this city and its region, the payment is intended only for applicants who have successfully passed the unified state exam. Children who choose exact sciences for admission must score 225 for 3 subjects, economics and rights - 240, literature and foreign languages - 260. The monthly payment is 5 thousand rubles.

Astrakhan

In this region, students from the second year of higher and secondary education can count on encouragement. Payments are made monthly, starting from the next semester after the decision is approved. In universities they receive 4.5 thousand rubles, in secondary specialized institutions - 3.5 thousand rubles.

Volgograd

Students of schools, universities and technical colleges can apply for promotion. Payment is made monthly and amounts to 1.5 thousand rubles. Most often, the payment is timed to coincide with victory in regional competitions.

Sverdlovsk

The regional payment this year rose to 1.5 thousand rubles.
Students of all secondary and higher educational institutions who are excellent students and have an active social position can count on it. Receiving a governor's scholarship is a special reward for academic performance.
Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

The incentive is paid to all students of schools, technical schools, lyceums and universities who have high academic performance. A monthly bonus of 1 thousand rubles is awarded for scientific activities, and 500 rubles for sporting achievements.

Chelyabinsk

For excellent studies, university students are paid a one-time bonus in the amount of 15 thousand rubles. The amount does not depend on the student's profile. The award is dedicated to awards received at the regional level.

Novosibirsk

In this region, awards for high academic performance are paid to children over 14 years of age, students in secondary and higher educational institutions. Accruals are received every month and amount to 1.5 rubles, regardless of the specialization of the awards received.

Samara
