When do college scholarships usually arrive?
In 2021, the amount of the social scholarship is set by law at 730 rubles. This payment does not depend on the success of training, but it is affected by the timely passing of exams and tests. If a student fails to show up for a session, the college has the right to withhold academic payment of funds until the student receives positive grades and successfully completes the semester.
On the website of your educational organization, you have the right to view information about the availability and conditions for the payment of scholarships (as a rule, this is a local act - Regulations on Scholarships). This obligation of the educational organization is established by Part 2 of Art. 29 of the Federal Law of December 29, 2012 N 273-FZ (as amended on July 29, 2017) “On Education in the Russian Federation.” In accordance with Part 8 of Art. 34 of this Law, organizations carrying out educational activities, the financial support of which is carried out at the expense of budgetary allocations of the federal budget, budgets of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and (or) local budgets, within their competence and in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, provide students with budgetary allocations from the federal budget, budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local budgets with scholarships, living quarters in dormitories, boarding schools, and also implement other measures of their social support provided for by this Federal Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation.

- passport;
- a certificate from housing authorities about family composition, or a certificate about the student’s residence in a dormitory;
- a certificate from the educational institution about the student’s studies and the amount of academic scholarship paid over the last 6 months (or about non-receipt of the scholarship);
- in case of living together with parents, or if the student is married, and also if he himself has any income other than the scholarship, documents (certificates) are provided on the income of all family members for the 6 months preceding the month of application.
Scholarship holders permanently residing in the territory of a settlement or studying at an educational institution located in a settlement that has been granted mountain status are paid an additional scholarship in the amount of 20 percent of the minimum ordinary (regular) academic scholarship of the corresponding type of educational institution.
