MFC/Family services/Death certificate

MFCs were created to make it as easy as possible for citizens to access state and municipal services. All centers are constantly expanding the areas of their activities, and therefore today in the “one window” mode you can not only issue a passport, enroll in a kindergarten or school, restore a military ID, but also receive a death certificate. Understanding the tragedy and complexity of the events preceding the emergence of such a need, the MFC has established a special procedure for registration and issuance of a death certificate.

When is it necessary to obtain a death certificate?

Attention
Most relatives, perplexed by grief, do not know that they need to submit a statement of death no later than three days after the event, and the certificate itself can be collected later.

Today, a death certificate is required for:

  • Obtaining a place in the cemetery.
  • Ordering a ritual ceremony.
  • Solutions to inheritance disputes.
  • Payment of compensation for funeral expenses.

It is worth noting that death registration is carried out in the following places:

  • Discovery of a corpse.
  • In the organization that issued the death document.
  • Residence of children, parents or other spouse.
  • In the court that made a decision to recognize the fact of death.

For information
If a person lost his life on the road, for example, on a train or in a car, then the nearest registry office, which is located near the point of death, acts as the place of registration. If a situation arises that leads to death, on an expedition or in remote regions, the fact is recorded in a nearby settlement.

The timing, procedure for issuing, grounds and features of registration of the certificate are regulated by Federal Law No. 143, as well as No. 8 and Resolution No. 1274 “On approval of application forms for state registration of acts of civil status.”
